'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path.'

Baby Bunny Cuteness

This evening Brian & Noah were mowing the yard and came across this cute little bunny. The boys want to keep it, but we haven't made that decision yet, although it is currently in a makeshift cage in the house.
**Updated**
We put the bunny back outside. Kade cried and cried, but we tried to explain to him that his mommy was probably looking for him and he was probably sad and missing his mommy too. He knew this, but was still very sad.

The School Party

We survived!
The party went very well, we had 17 kids and thankfully 7 adults.
We didn't get to play a lot of games because the wind was pretty wild, but they managed to find something to do the whole time (did I mention it was from noon till 3). Of course Kade had a blast and received a lot of fun gifts.

Birthday Morning

Kade is 5 today!
Brian & I took the day off because we're having a school party for him. He's in preschool and only goes half a day, so at noon we will pick him and his classmates up and go to the park for 3 hours of fun - I hope to post on the party later, but after 3 hours with about 16 four and five year olds, I may not be up to it.
Ok, birthday morning. . . . Brian, Noah & I woke him up with birthday wishes and after the morning routine, we allowed him to open a gift Aunt Net gave him, and the one from Noah, and he opened his cards that came in the mail from his great grandparents, and one from Brooke & Adam. Thanks Brooke, I owe y'all for that one! Spongebob sings happy birthday, and we heard it at least 20 times before we left for school.
By his request I made scrambled eggs for breakfast, and surprised him by putting a candle in them and we sang to him.
We then took them to school and on the way there we heard Aunt Net wishing him a Happy Birthday on the radio. I took Kade into his classroom because I wanted to pick up any gifts any students might have brought, and I brought in the cookies for snack time. His teacher was getting goody bag together for him, then she put a birhtday crown on him, and a birthday sticker.
So, he's already had a fun, special birthday all before the hour of 8 AM.

Roughing It

This evening we had some rough thunderstorms move through our area, but thankfully we only had rain and some wind. We did however loose power for about 2 hours, and having an all electric home, we had to rough it. Good thing we bought a gas grill last weekend and Brian put it together yesterday, and we had steaks out to grill this evening, and that it stopped raining and the sun came out.
And when the sun came out, God's beauty was shinning through, I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures.

T-Ball

This is Kade's first year to play T-ball, and it's been entertaining. Noah has finally gotten to the age where it's a little more competitive, and you have winners & losers, but we're starting all over again. I remember when Noah first started T-ball, I was used to the high school teams Brian was coaching, and the adjustment to T-ball was huge. But being a mom, I adjusted and had fun with it, just like I am now. One definite thing is that it is always entertaining - from the dancing around, to the playing in the dirt, to every kid on the field going for the ball, to chasing many over or under thrown balls. It's just fun.

Step 1 of patio project

Complete (without a picture of the completed project).
Every time we have a gathering or we sit out in the evenings, we are always right outside the fence in a small area, so I came up with the idea to move the fence and then make a patio area. At first, Brian thought I was crazy, but . . . . . the fence was moved this weekend. :)
It may be a little while before the patio is done, but it's fine with me. Sitting out there this evening was just awesome. The real rest will be this weekend when we have Kade's birthday party - I think it's going to be great to have the extra room.

Happy Administrative Professional Week!

I was pleasantly surprised Wednesday when I received this beautiful flower arrangement from the group that I work with. The flowers smell wonderful and really brighten up my office. It's great to work with such a good group of people.

7 from Heaven

We were very blessed with much needed, beneficial rain - 7 wonderful inches from Heaven.
The rain gage that holds 5 inches filled up, so when the rain stopped for a few minutes, we went out and emptied it, and played around in the puddles a little too.
Yes, it was the afternoon and Kade was still in his PJs - it was a rainy day, why change?

A Welcome & Much Needed Site

Early this morning I woke to the wonderful sound of rain drops, soon followed by a little boy crawling in our bed. It was the perfect morning to pull the covers over my head and sleep in, however the aforementioned little boy had other ideas, like Saturday morning cartoons.
Anyway in the last couple of hours we got almost 2 inches - as Kade has been saying all morning "Thank You Jesus!"

Easter

Our Easter weekend was wonderful!
We did many of our traditional things, and added a few new ones too.
We attended mass and services on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, and it was awesome.
On Friday, Donnie & Bernadette had their annual fish fry, we always have a good time there. Usually we do a little fishing, but this year due to the drought the kids just played in the dried up tank, along with many other fun activities.

Saturday morning we took the boys out to pick some flowers for their Easter nests - being boys, they picked just enough to make mom happy.

After getting the baskets ready we went to Granny & PawPaw's for our tradition of dying eggs. Other activities of the day / evening included kite flying, hunting eggs, confetti eggs, and for the first time we had a dance. It was a blast!!

Sunday morning after mass we came home to find that the Easter Bunny had paid us a visit and left way too many goodies.

Later in the morning we went to MoMo & PoPo's and had another fun filled day of egg hunting, confetti eggs, and even a game of baseball. The kids love that. I don't know how Brian, David and PoPo are feeling today, but it was fun. It was the young guns (Noah, Katarina, & Katelynn) against the old farts (PoPo, Brian & David) and Kade was on both teams as all-time batter.
