annual strudel delivery...
One of our annual traditions is for some of us from the SPH class of 1989 to purchase strudels from the church strudel bake and donate them to the retired sisters at the motherhouse, and then we deliver them and visit with the sisters...we're not sure how many years we've been doing this, but we know it's over 10 years...
band concert
The Christmas Band Concert was held recently....the kids all did so good playing the Christmas Carols...I didn't get up from my seat to take pictures of Noah playing, so I just took a couple after....next school year, Kade will be playing too.
basketball
basketball is still a slow go....but once the holidays are over and district starts we will be running wild...hopefully with all the games will come growth and improvements (and some wins)...
Gig Em'
We have such great friends...and one of them is Dwayne....I've knows since kindergarten, and he's been a friend ever since.....he's practically family...
...here's our Christmas gift from him this year....
...we love it!!...

where does the time go.......
Either we have gotten busier….boring-er…or lazier….whatever the case, I’m wwwaaaayyyy behind on posting here…
...November has come & gone…
..so has ½ of December, but anyway….
...here’s a rundown of the events missed in November….
Kade had an All Saints Day program at school
Here's St Thaddeus
The 1st two Friday’s we had football & got our 1st
two wins!!! The biggest of the two was against our long time
rivals…and you can ask anyone from St. Paul…we can lose every game of
the season, but if we beat Sacred
Heart, it was a winning season! So this year we had a winning
season!!!
We
had a lot of fun surrounding the game and activities….coach had the
waterboys do a dance at the pep rally…this was soo fun to watch Kade
& the other (most of the time shy) boys get up in front of the whole
school & parents and dance
(yes I have it one video)… Another fun festivity was a few of us
decided to tailgate before & after the game…..so much fun hanging
out with friends & alumni….then enjoying the game (& the win!!)….
Love this picture of our favorite waterboy **photo credit to the local paper |
and our favorite football player #5 **photo credit to the local paper |
Moving
on into November, we started basketball, but have only had a few games
so far….and just like football, a young team that has potential in the
coming years, but off to a slow start right now
…
not a great picture - taken with my phone from the stands |
Debbie, Diane, Brooke & I had a fun day of shopping at
the Outlet Mall …we started out early and came home late, and had a
great time... we even had some success in finding good deals &
getting a few Christmas gifts….
While
I was out having fun shopping, Brian & the boys were at the deer
lease…they were able to get on one with some really good friends of
ours…they spend the whole weekend out there and had a blast….no deer
were killed, but they had a
lot of fun!!
We
had a great Thanksgiving too! We have so much to be thankful for….most
of all being together as a family!! We spend Thanksgiving day at my
parent’s with all the sisters & our families & then with Brian's family that weekend…
Debbie
& I did venture out that evening to do a little Black Friday
shopping (on Thursday) – we just went to the local Walmart…I stood in
line with a buggy while she maneuvered her way through the crowds,
returning several times with arms
full…by the time we finally reached the checkout, the buggy was pretty
full! Brian & I also made a quick trip Friday morning…left the
house around 6 am & returned by 8:30am with our mission accomplished!
We were also successful in putting up our outside lights, decorating the house, and putting up and decorating the tree!
The
following day we had a wedding to attend, which we had a good time
at…but it also provided me with the opportunity to get pictures taken
for our Christmas cards….success!!!
(will share pictures in another post)
So there you have it….November highlights
