'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path.'

~Proverbs 3:5-6

Fun Friday

School's Out For Summer!!!
After mass this morning, the kids were released for the summer vacation. I attended mass with them, then picked them up and went home and had a fun Friday. In addition to our two, I had my brother's three girls, and then Brooke & Conner came over too. They played on the slip & slide, and with water balloons, and with some other water toy, then we had a picnic lunch, and played in the water some more, then had snow cones, and then when it was really hot we came in and they played Wii and anything else they found in the boys rooms.
I think they all had a really fun day.

Perfecto

Once again this year Noah received the certificate for perfect attendance. This is a wonderful accomplishment, because at our school to received perfect attendance, they don't only count full days missed, they also count leaving early for doctor appointments and being tardy. This makes it a little hard when it comes to making doctor or dentist appointments, but we're so proud of him to want to be in school every required day, and strive it.
We found out how important it really was to him when we told him about going to the race and he asked if he would have to miss any school before saying yes he wanted to go.

Field Day

Another reason for my being off was for field day at school on Thursday. The kids always look forward to this fun day, and volunteers are always needed. The students do different events like balloon toss, egg race, wheel barrow race, 75 yard dash, and to end the day they get to throw water balloons at the teachers - only the ones what agree to participate. This is their all time favorite thing to do. They are then awarded ribbons for the events - Noah brought home several ribbons and I brought home a sunburn and a tired body :)
Kade had fun too even though he doesn't participate until next year.

Next Stop - Kindergarten

I took Thursday & Friday off this week because it was the kids last days of school, and I'm so glad I did. I knew Kade's class was having an end of school party, but I didn't know they were having a little graduation. It was an emotional ceremony because Kade's teach whom we all love so much won't be back next year - long story, we won't go there, but we will miss her.
So now Kade's been telling everyone he's a kindergartner.

Bye, Bye Jr. High

Katelynn had her 8th grade recognition on Wednesday. There was mass, then each student received their certificate of completion and a couple of scholarships were given.

Go, Go, Go

I'm still here. It's just the time of the year when we go, go, go, but it's going to slow down pretty soon (or so we think).
We've been at the ball park a lot. I previously posted pictures of Kade's T-ball, so here's some of Noah. He usually plays 3rd base, and occasionally pitches.

Happy Mother's Day

We had a nice day today - I got to sleep in this morning, then they made breakfast and cleaned up after then they gave me my favorite, a certificate to the day spa - I can't wait to go.
Late morning we went to my parents, Brian grilled steaks and we had a great time all being together. Then this evening we went to Brian's parents and had a good time there too.

A's Special Day

Our niece, Angelette, received her First Holy Communion at mass this evening.
She was so beautiful in her white dress and veil.
After mass we all went to their house for a wonderful meal, cake and presents.
Congratulations Angelette!

What a difference

Remember this picture. . . .

It was taken on Good Friday and the tank my brother & sister-in-law's was totally dry.
Well, after that wonderful 7 inched of rain, here's what it looks like.

What a difference!

Annual Pictures

When Noah was one I started a tradition of having his pictures done with the big number. I was going to stop when he turned 6 or 7, but by that time I was taking Kade for his, and Noah wanted to keep up the tradition. So here we are at 10 & 5 and still having them done.
Brian always get on my case about them having matching shirts - and you're probably thinking the same thing - but in my defense, it's much easier to have the same shirt than to make sure two different ones don't clash.
I think the pictures turned our really cute, but it could be because I'm partial to the subjects.
