'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path.'

Garden Time...

Yay!!!  One of our favorite times of the year......garden time!!!  Fresh Veggies!!!!

cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, green beans

potatoes

tomatoes, tomatoes, and more tomatoes

which means yummy salsa!!

Youth Work Camp

I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to participate in the First ever Shiner Youth Work Camp.
In years past, our youth have participated in Catholic Heart Work Camp, and the Youth Director has been wanting to get something like it started right here in our hometown....and this was the year...
We checked in to our school on Sunday evening, and checked out Tuesday night....our days started with mass, breakfast, and program, then we were bused to our work sites at 9 am, and were picked back up at 4:30 pm.  The evening we filled with meal, program, adoration, and some free time.

The lives (myself, the other adult leaders, the youth, the residents we did work for) that were touched by this was so amazing....

It was an awesome experience that I will never forget and can not wait to volunteer to do it again!!

lake fun

We've been having a pretty busy summer, so it was nice to make a day trip to the lake....
.....what's the good of having toys if you don't get time to play with them....
...so, spur of the moment, we called up some family and headed out for a day of fun...

fence building

Last summer Brian decide it was time for him & the boys to do something more productive with their time off, so they started building fences....barbed wire fences, netting fences, corral fences, privacy fences (this one only for special people) :)
It has been really good....they are staying busy, making a little money, and learning what hard work really means.

So, since they are getting so good at it, and Brooke & Adam are the special people mentioned above, we went and and spent a weekend with them and help with their privacy fence....we made good progress, but because of a few delays, we didn't get as far as we would have liked....but this just gives them the fun of marriage bonding and hanging planks together...

Nicolette's graduation....

I know I say "it is hard to believe" a lot,
but.... it really is hard to believe that we have another graduate in the family.  My brother's oldest daughter, Nicolette, graduated at the end on May.

All smiles.... :)

Look at this smile.......
...this is what you look like after hitting an in the park home run at your last baseball game...

....mine was just as big, if not bigger....
....super proud!!!!

Aggie Baseball

After having such a good school year, I wanted to do something fun with the boys, so we went to an Aggie baseball game....and they got some new Aggie gear....
I realized that the last time we went to an Aggie baseball game was 10 years ago, and that was entirely too long.  Brian had to work, so the boys & I went and stayed with Brooke & Adam, and then to the game.  We had such a good time!!!  We won't wait that long to go again!

end of school

The boys had another great year at school.....and we couldn't be prouder as parents.
They both finished the year out with a 95 overall average...
....so goodbye 4th & 9th grades and welcome to 5th & 10th....

they are the best sons anyone could ask for.... (bombed by Kade..hehe)
