Juliette's Birthday

Not only did she graduate from the 8th grade last week....she also had birthday....what better reasons to celebrate...and that we did....

.....it's good to see a smile on his face today....

...thanks to the anesthesia block still in effect, Noah had a good night sleep (we all did), but as it came out this morning, it was really, really rough....very, very painful...I felt so bad for him...if I could have bore the pain for him I would have....finally after the second round of pain medicine it started to ease, but as soon as the 4 hours are nearing, he's looking for the meds.

Look at these two, you'd think they were the ones who had the rough day...I guess a lot fun makes you tired...Kade played in the pool most of the day, and Brian drove the bus and sat there and watched kids at Splashway....

Noah's Surgery

We are very blessed to have family in the medical world...the orthopedic doctor we wanted Noah to have 'just happened' to be at The Surgery Center today, and with our 'connections' we were able to get in to see him and have the surgery done today.  The doctor said it went very well and was pleased with the outcome.

First inning of his 3rd baseball game of the season - I was in Shiner with Kade at his game & Brian was in Hville with Noah at his game....Brian called and said we need to take Noah to the ER...he was playing 3rd base and a boy slid into him, and it was swelling up quite a bit.  I got over there and after x-rays they found 2 breaks - the fibula & tibia at the ankle...

Springtime means baseball time - 

Kade has been playing since the beginning of April and plays through May...

...his league is called coach pitch...

...the boys do pitch, but instead of walking the batter, the coach comes in and pitched 1 or 2 depending on the count...

...Kade has played 1st base, pitcher & catcher...

...his favorite is catcher...

Noah had his first game on Wednesday (re-scheduled from Tuesday due to rain)...

...his league (13-14 years old) plays May & June...

...and travel to neighboring towns...

...game 1 started out good, but didn't end that way...

...it got so bad, they brought Noah in to pitch...

...he was at 3rd before that...

...he plays 3rd, 1st, & pitches...

...his favorite is 1st (just don't know if he'll get to play there)...

...they are now on the high school field - he said it a l.o.n.g way from 3rd to 1st...

Field Day

Hard to believe that the end of the school year is coming quickly...today was field day...it's usually held the last week of school, but this year they tried something different...it think it worked okay, except for the parent's not being prepared...I decided to make a quick trip to school to watch a little during my lunch break, and I'm so glad I did...

The Party

the party was originally scheduled for the Friday before his birthday, but he was sick...so it was moved to the Friday after his birthday - but it was all good, it was first Friday so they got out at 1.

I took off early and picked him and 3 of his buddies up from school and the fun started...

  We did take a break from the fun at our house to go to the baseball field for a game, then it was back to playing Lego's and video games, and eating cookies & gummies, and having fun.
