technical difficulties

it's cool weather again, and we're not the only ones lovin' it....

Monday night we had Jr. High games - - Noah's team played well, but it wasn't quite enough to pull out the win......I didn't post last week but we did win both of our games...

...Rina also plays and they also lost....

Then last night the high school girls had a game...

Juliette is on the Freshman team (we lost)

Nicolette is on JV (we lost)

Katelynn is on Varsity (we made a come back and won by 1 point)

Way to go SLE & SPH!!!!

Operation Christmas Child

It's that time of the year again...

one of the good things about being off Monday was that I was able to get the shoe boxes packed and dropped off before the deadline the end of this week....

...now there will be two happy little boys & one happy little girl this holiday

Grateful to our Veterans!

A great big thank you goes out to the men & women who have served and are serving our great nation!!!

We had our annual Veteran's Day program at school, and it was so great to honor our hometown heroes...including PoPo & Uncle Jerry!

I find that when I start getting down, all I have to do is listen carefully and The Lord will remind me what's important....

...like then today I clicked on the bible app on my phone and the verse of the day is


Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on Earth

....and a day or so ago I clicked on a friend's blog & she had a post with this quote:

...so when you are having a bad day or a bad week, just listen and He will remind you...

Kade's 1st deer

It was opening weekend of deer season....a big deal around here....but didn't think my guys would be going, with football, basketball & everything in between.....but when they heard Beau & Courtney drove in from Lubbock and Brooke & Adam drove in from Bryan, they were hopeful...and were very glad when they got the text asking if they want to go and we were free for the afternoon...

Kade sat with Beau in his stand and they saw the doe come out...Beau held the gun while Kade looked thru the scope and pulled the trigger, and down she went....he was so excited!!!! 

On the way home the boys compared stories and realized that all 3 were the same age when they shot their 1st deer - the prime age of 8

Fitty is back!

The SLE Cardinal A team had a tournament today - we lost both games, but it was ok because the smile of my boy's face was priceless.....This was the first time in 5 months that he played a sport...

18 years

Brian & I celebrated our 18th Anniversary today.

We had planned on going to Victoria, so Kade convinced Noah into getting some of their money to take us out to eat.  We finally decided on Texas Roadhouse, and it was a good choice.

PawPaw's Birthday Costume Party

My dad's birthday is the day before Halloween so about 4 years ago we decided to have celebrate his Birthday with a costume party, and have been doing it ever since.... 

Well, today was the day for the annual PawPaw's Birthday Costume Celebration...

...we weren't real sure we would have it because he was sick last week and was in the hospital Thursday thru Saturday, but he's doing much better and we were ready to celebrate...

weekend getaway

When we bought our travel trailer we talked about trying to getaway even during football season...

...well, easier said than done...

...but this weekend we did it...

...St Paul had an open weekend, so us and our good friends took advantage...

...we always have such a good time, and this time didn't disappoint either...

...we rode bikes, had a camp fire, grilled, relaxed, played horseshoes...

...we even watched the Aggie game with our neighbors (& new friends) that we met that morning... ...being a part of the Aggie family is so awesome!

We can't wait to head out to the trailerhood again, hopefully sooner rather than later.
