Sing Praise!!!
God is so Great!!
A friend of our has been on the waiting list for a new heart for some time, and last night she got the call that they had a heart for her. She went into surgery this morning and all went very well, her body did not reject the new heart, but the next 3 days are very critical, so we need to keep praying. The heart came from over 1000 miles away from a 16 year old...please pray for the family who lost their child, and pray for Joann and her whole family as she recovers. Her son is one of Noah's best friends, they are an amazing family.
Thank you God!!!

It was also Noah's 1st time to play in the band - well at least act like he was playing with the band...
Debbie, Conner, Danette, Diane & Brooke went to San Antonio and watched Cody play - they had an exciting game too...it went into overtime and Cody's team won 29-28.
I hear he played an awesome game!!

A Heart-breaker
The SLE Cardinals lost a heart-breaker tonight 14 -12, but they played an awesome game. We played an 8th grade team from a public school - they had more boys on the 8th grade team than we had with 7th & 8 graders - and they were BIG.
Way to go guys, we are so proud of you!!!

A Prayer to St. Jude
With so much going on these days, I wanted to post a powerful prayer that I pray all the time...if you don't have any specific intentions for yourself, then pray for the fire victims and firefighters in the Bastrop fires, pray for rain, pray for me :)
Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of.
Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.
Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly (here make your request) and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.
I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
Amen.

Noah's 1st Football Game
I have to admit, when I saw my baby come out on the field I had a tear in my eye and a lump in my throat, I was bursting with pride. Noah had a great game - he even recovered 2 fumbles....the whole team did. He played the entire game with the exceptions of maybe a couple of minutes. Oh, and we won!!!! 24 - 8
Starting the season with a win is always good - Way to go Cardinals, we are so proud of you!!!and this one is for Aunt Net....

Thanks to his "family fan club" for coming out to see his 1st game. When I told him who all were there (Mom, Dad, Kade, Granny, MoMo, PoPo, Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Diane, Uncle Donnie, Juliette, Angelette) he said "whoa" and had a smile from ear to ear. And for those who couldn't make it, he understands (Lubbock & College Station) are too far away to drive in for a game.
