I'm back on CST
I was in Arizona Wed - Fri this week. I went there for work, meetings and training. One of the best things about this trip was that I met a lot of the people that I have worked with via phone for many year, and the resort we stayed at was spectacular. It was a great experience, but I'm glad to be back home with my guys - and back on Central Standard Time :)

Weekend
We had another full weekend.
Friday Brian and the boys met up with MoMo, Katelynn, Katarina, Uncle James, Aunt Judy & Olsen and for the kids to go swimming - they all had a blast, jumping in, splashing, and just being together with cousins. That evening, PoPo took us to Rosies.
Saturday we had KJZT Royal Coronation - we had to get up early for the two hour trip up there. We had mass, then the award ceremony, a meal after, and then fun events. During the award ceremony the kids all received medals for their participation through the year. Also each year there is a specific craft project for the different age groups, Noah & Angelette were in the same group, and he won first and she won third, in the other age group, Juliette won first and Nicolette got fourth. After the awards we enjoyed a good meal, but left before the fun started because one of our little ones wasn't feeling too well. That evening after mass we went to Granny & PawPaw's for hamburgers.
Sunday also revolved around KJZT - the society had a fundraiser BBQ and was donating all the proceeds to the booster club at St. Paul, so our volunteering was for both. After filling, bagging, and handing out many plates, we got our plates and went to MoMo & PoPo.
So, yes it was full, but it was also fun.

School Supply Shopping
On our way back from Rockport, we stopped in Victoria and bought the boys school supplies. They were really excited about picking out the coolest color or style they wanted, and with going a little early we still had a good selection to choose from. Noah already labeled all of his items and put them in his backpack or binder - not that he's excited to start school, only about the neat new supplies.
It's hard to believe that we are a month away from starting school again - and even harder to believe is that Noah will be in the 4th grade and Kade will be in Pre-K 4.
another use for a fabric book cover :)

Fun In The Sun
We had a great time in Rockport!!
When we got there on Tuesday we checked in to the hotel (which was very nice & comfortable), changed and headed to the pool, the boys also had to try out the hot tub but said it was too hot. After a few hours of that, we walked across the street to a great restaurant, where we sat out on the deck and enjoyed the evening. After that we walked along the shore line and down the pier then back to the room and the boys decided to go swimming again till the pool closed at 10.
Brooke came with us and that was really nice - I think that's what made it more relaxing for us.
Kade woke up Wednesday morning and said "please tell me I'm not dreaming".
After breakfast we loaded the vehicle and headed up the road to the public beach area - it was really nice. Technically this was both the boys first time to the beach - yes, we've been before, but last year because of the scare of a bacteria, we didn't go in the water, and Noah only went in briefly once when we went to Corpus. We spent the whole day there, and had a lot of fun. We floated and played in the water, we played in the sand, we had a picnic lunch, they fed the seagulls, we got some sun, then Debbie & Conner and Danette joined us in the afternoon and added to the fun. We all went back to the hotel that evening and jumped in the pool again. They weren't too happy when we made them get out so we could go eat, but knew they could go back in when we got back, well by time we got back they were too tired from the fun day that they just wanted to stay in and watch cartoons in bed.
Our check out time today was at 11, so they headed back to the pool for a hours or so, then we packed up and headed home, with a few stops in Victoria (more to come on that).

Oh The Excitement!!
We are headed to the beach!!
Sunday Noah & Brooke were talking about going one day this week, well, since I have a dentist appt in Victoria today I figure we're almost half way there, why not. I took a couple of extra days off, and now we're on the road to Rockport, well with the stop off at the dentist.
The boys were sooooooo excited! They both jumped out of bed this morning saying We're Going To The Beach Today.
Check back in a few days for pictures.

Look Mom, No Training Wheels
Kade called me at work today and said to guess what he was doing, of course I guessed wrong, so he told me he was learning to ride his little bike without training wheels. I was so excited, (and so wanted to be at home with them) I asked if they videoed it, he said no that Noah was riding his bike too. Later in the day he called again and said he was riding again and this time Noah took pictures and video. When I got home and in between rain showers he showed me how he could ride. Dad helps him get started and then he goes. We're so proud of how good he's doing.

Fourth Festivities
We had a Great long weekend.
We had the Half Moon Holidays this weekend - so we went to the parade, and then to the park for the car show and craft booths, Kade & Conner had fun in the petting zoo, and Noah tried to win a bunny (we hoped he wouldn't but gave him the money to play anyway), and then at night was the big firework show.
We also did plenty of fireworks at home, and at Granny & PawPaw's and at MoMo & PoPo's - the boys had so much fun.

Happy Birthday Brian
And what a happy day it was - the best gift was the 1/2 inch of rain we got. Surrounding areas have been getting the rain, but we haven't gotten any in a couple of months, so this was a blessing. Kade told Brooke that Jesus even gave dad a present, the rain. :)
This evening we invited the family over and grilled hamburgers. It was a lot of fun, and the rain cool it off, so it was a beautiful evening. The adults relaxed and visited while the kids ran wild, playing tag and basketball, and doing fireworks - the boys were trying to blow things up with the M1000 while the girls liked the pretty colors of the smoke bombs. Then I brought out the snow cone maker, not only did they love eating them, they loved making them.
