It's not often that you catch my dad in a picture with a smile, but get "Netter" being goofy, and daddy will do almost anything ;)

Kade's 4th Birthday
Our baby boy turned 4 today.
I think he had a fun day. When we got to mom's this morning, they all sang to him, and had signs hanging everywhere. Then he heard his name 4 different times on 2 different radio stations, and he won the birthday pizza from one. PoPo said he tried to call him at "granny's school" but kept getting a busy signal - Kade was getting a lot of phone calls. After they picked the big kids up from school, they all had the cupcakes we made last night. Then this evening PoPo & MoMo took us out to eat to one of his favorite restaurants. The waitresses brought him a big piece of chocolate cake with 4 candles and they all sang to him, the smile on his face was too cute. Of course there were a few more presents and check out that tattoo on those muscles (you have to make a face when you're showing the "guns")

It's All Good
With the big 4th birthday tomorrow, Kade helped me make cupcakes to take to "Granny's school". He helped in more ways than one, he did help mix the cake mix, and he iced a couple of cupcakes, and he put the sprinkles on, but he also "helped" by tasting the cake mix, tasting the icing, and tasting the sprinkles & It's All Good!!

Kade's Monster Jam Party
We had Kade's birthday party on Saturday, and it turned out Great!
First off,we were blessed with an absolutely beautiful day - after rain overnight on Friday, cloudy in the morning, and lot of praying, it turned out great. This year's theme was Monster Jam. He likes monster trucks, and they have the game on Wii so he was excited about it. We had a lot of family over and a few friends that we consider family.
Everyone had a lot of fun - there was good food, great desserts, cold drinks, silly string, balloons, and lots of presents.

Howdy
Look how grown up Kade is getting - his birthday is 9 day away and he can't wait.
After getting his clothes on for church, he asked if he could put his boots on, so I told him it was okay. (I think these boots were passed from Brooke, who is now 19, but anyway.) He ran and put his socks & the boots on, and then he walked around the house like he was Mr. Big Shot. A few minutes later he came into the bathroom where I was and said he was going to show me something, but he wasn't going to wear it to church. So, he stepped out, put his hat on then came back in. It was just too cute, so I of course had to grab the camera and get a few poses.
This morning, I told him to change out of his PJs and he came out in his t-shirt, shorts, boots & hat on - he's such a silly boy.
Beautifying the Flowerbeds
We really haven't done much work on the flowerbeds in front of our house since we moved here, not that they looked bad, but now I just wanted to add our touch to it. So a friend suggested roses, and I loved that idea, he took it a step further and even went and picked some out and brought them over - if only he would have planted them too - haha, only joking :)
I think they turnd out beautiful!!!

Dance Recital
Juliette & Angelette had their dance recital this evening - they did a good job. All the little girls performing did, and they were so cute.
Beau's Senior Year Prom
Senior Year Prom - already, where did the time go . . . . . our nephew & my Godson, Beau has his senior year prom this evening. He and his best friend, Thom, got matching tuxedos this year - they looked pretty sharp.
Because his parents had another engagement they couldn't miss, he (& Thom) came to our house to get dressed, and of course have pictures and video taken. He then went to pick up his girlfriend, Courtney, and came back for more pictures and video. Prom for our school is pictures, Mass, banquet / meal, dance, and casino night.

Meet Scratches
My sister's cat had baby kittens and the boys just thought they had to have one. Kade's birthday is in a couple of weeks and Uncle Ronnie & Aunt Diane keep telling him that he's getting a kitty as his present. He loves the idea, but his dad & I aren't took keen on it. Well today when he went over there to play with them, only one was still there, and they brought it back and begged to keep it, and we agreed (who knows why).
On the way home the boys were trying to come up with a name. Noah came up with the traditional "Midnight" because of it's color, and Kade wanted to name it "Little" because it's a little kitty, so we asked what he was going to call it when it gets big and he said "Big". Also during this time, Noah was holding it and kept saying ouch quit scratching me, so I said why don't y'all call it "scratcher" or "scratches", and they liked the idea. So, it now has a name we all agree on.
Kade also has a scratching story and it is hilarious to hear him tell it . . . he had it up close to him, and one of it's claws was by his lip, and as Kade's version goes, "I looked like a fish on a hook" :) he did not, I was right there and saw the whole thing, but it's soo funny to hear Kade say it.
Knot Head
What do you get when a cow kicks a gate and you're standing behind it . . .
a trip to the ER, some dermabond, and a nice knot on your head.
a trip to the ER, some dermabond, and a nice knot on your head.
This Saturday was "family therapy" day - that's what we call it when we work cows at mom & dad's. Everybody out there is guaranteed to get hollered at, but it all stays out there. Well, at the 3rd and last place, Brian was behind the gate trying to get the cows all in the pen to the shoot, well one cow kicked the gate and it broke the clip on the chain, and the gate came back and hit him in the head. He kind of stumbled back and Diane & Net asked if he was okay, and he said yeah, but then he pulled his cap off and blood started running down his face. So Ronnie took him to the ER, and I met them there after a quick stop at home for his wallet. I should have known that something was going to happen, 1) that morning when we left our house he realized that he left his wallet & cell phone at home but we didn't go back for it, 2) I was at the other 2 places, but didn't go to the 3rd place 3) none of them had their phones on them (thank goodness Donnie leaves his in his truck) 4) my cell phone was almost dead and 5) my vehicle was on Empty - - - all sure signs that something will most likely happen.
He is doing fine. He laughed when he saw my last post was called passing the Tylenol, he said this one could be Still passing the Tylenol.
Oh, and the reason for the Knot Head title - he always calls the boys knuckle head or knot head, so after this happened (and we knew everything was okay) they said he's the knot head now :)

Passing The Tylenol
Last week Kade woke up (at 2 am) crying that his head hurt, and he was burning hot. For a couple of days, as long as he had Tylenol or Motrin in him he was okay, but as soon as it wore off, he was crying again. There weren't many other symptoms, just the bad, bad headache.
Then Sunday while at MoMo & PoPo's, Noah fell asleep while watching TV - this is very unusual for him - when he woke up he was complaining about a terrible headache, so we started him with the meds too. He managed to make it through school yesterday & today (thanks to MoMo working there and checking on him and giving him meds), but he's not going to play his baseball game tonight (my choice, not his) The game is at 8 and I plan on having him in bed around that time so he can get better.
So I went today and re-stocked on Tylenol and Motrin, and hoping this is then end of it.

PoPo's Birthday
Happy Birthday to PoPo -
We started the day out with going out to breakfast with MoMo & PoPo after mass this morning. From there, the boys then went home with them to get ready for the afternoon - two of his sisters & brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law all came over- it turned out really good.
The day was beautiful, the food was good, and the time spent with family was great (oh and the brownies were very yummy too)
mmmm good
Kade is our chocolate freak. Last night I was making brownies for PoPo's birthday, and he had to lick the bowls, and the spoon, and anything else that had brownie batter on.
