as mentioned in another post, Noah broke his nose...
It happened during a basketball game at a tournament - he got elbowed or hit by the other team, he came out of the game for a few minutes, them went back in, finished the game and played another game after that.
This all happened on a Saturday, the following Monday I called the ENT to get an appointment, and they only had 2 openings...we couldn't take the first one because Noah had mid-terms that day, so Friday was the earliest we could get him in. When we finally saw the doctor, he said it was dislocated and fractured and we had a 10 day window to get it fixed, and we were already 6 day in, so we had a couple of choices...we could go to The Surgery Center on Monday and have another doctor do it (our Dr was going to be on vacation), or he could give him a local and do it right there in the office. So Noah (with my agreement) decided to have it done there in his office. I won't go into the details here, but my tough guy did great!!! I think he complained more about having to wear the little cast than actually having the procedure done.
