Bake Sale

It's that time again.......camp is right around the corner..........in an effort to offset the expense we sell raffle tickets and have a bake sale after the masses one weekend.....this was that weekend.....all in all we did very well....almost sold out of goodies.....but we still have raffles available if anyone is interested ;)

Noah's last game

I don't know what we're going to do with our evenings now.......baseball regular season is over. Noah really came around this season - we heard that out of the 3 teams in our small town he's in the top five of batting averages.....and he proved it again this evening. He did start out slow with a strikeout (swinging), his 2nd hit he was robbed (the boy stuck his glove out and caught it), and then the ripper.....he hit a triple....it was awesome!!!!
This season he mostly played 3rd base, but he also pitched, played left & right field.

Kade's last game

Kade had his last game of the season on Tuesday, and he did great.

He's in the 7-8 year old - coach pitch league.

Toward the end of season the boys do get to pitch - they pitch 4 balls, hopefully getting some close enough for the batter to swing at but if not the coach comes in and pitches 2 balls, so you either hit or strike out. Also at this age, they switch positions every inning. In this game he played pitcher, catcher, 1st base, 2nd base, right field, & center field. He also hit the ball each time he was up to bat, and he was the first to score a point. In this league they do not keep score, but I know our team crossed home plate more times than the other team.

Our Little Cowboy

After hearing about the rodeo in town, Kade decided he wanted to dress in 'cowboy clothes' - he dug out his hat and his boots and got all dressed up....and then he asked me to take his picture and without hesitation I obliged. Isn't he just the most handsome cowboy you've ever seen....

Rodeo

Saturday evening was a perfect evening for a rodeo. Once Kade heard about it, there was no talking him out of going - and I'm glad we didn't try because we have a great time there.

Basketball Camp

Kade participated in the annual basketball camp......Noah did not.....Kade did great
Today being the last day, they have a little competition and in his age group, he tied for 1st and received a bobble head trophy and several certificates.

Way to go buddy!!
