Nicolette's 8th Grade Recognition

It's official - Nicolette is no longer in Jr. High. . . . .
They had a recognition mass where they received their certificate of completion.
After celebrating holy mass we moved the celebration to their house for an enjoyable evening.
Congratulations Nicolette, We are proud of you!

Bye, Bye Brace

Kade had another x-ray today and he's officially been released by the doctor. He can play T-Ball on Friday and he no longer has to wear the clavicle sling or brace. Yippee!!!!

(no we really didn't throw it in the trash, it's was just for show)

A Relaxing Evening

We had an evening without a ball game or having to be somewhere, so I told the guys that we should just grill burgers and sit outside and relax.

Have a relaxing evening.
The definition of Relaxing is (as adj) rest or engage in an enjoyable activity so as to become less tired or anxious.

All I could say was Wow!!!!!

Yesterday at work I received an invitation for a conference call, I accepted it and didn't think much about it. This morning one of my co-workers called asking if I knew what the meeting was about because there was some mystery or secrecy about it. After talking to him I got a little worried, so when the reminder popped up on my computer, my stomach started to get nervous. But it was all good, nothing to be worried about. . . . . it was to announce that I won a Top Performer Award . . . . I won . . . . all I could say was Wow, Thank You.

With this award I received a Certificate signed by the president and CEO of the entire company, a letter from the head of our Diversified Products Group, a medal, a lapel pin, $100 gift certificate, and flowers & praises from the group I work with on a daily basis. I was very surprised, and am so excited - once again, wow!

Baseball or Golf

Even though it's baseball season and baseball should be the only use for the batting cage, the guys found a second use for it. . . . .hitting golf balls.

Our New Pet - - - NOT!!!

Yesterday I was out watering the flowers and I saw that Wiggles (our dog) was after something. I thought it was baby bunnies, but I got a big surprise when I walked closer and saw this . . . .

It was on the ground when I saw it, but by the time I ran in the house and got Brian, it slithered on to the fence. He used the chopping hoe to catch it and then took it to the creek down the road. He said it's a rat snake. (photos by Noah)

Spring Band Concert

We had the spring band concert this evening, the last of the year. The kids all did a great job.

And look how beautiful and handsome they look all dressed up.

Kade has a doctors appointment tomorrow so, we'll see how much longer he has to wear his sling.
