'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path.'

End of Soccer Season

The soccer season has come to an end (with the exception of a couple of tournaments)...and a good season it was...Kade's team did very well...learning a lot from their great coach while having fun, and won all of their games.
Following the games we had the end of season party where they received a trophy and a soccer ball.

SLE Cardinals 36 - Sacred Heart Braves 16
Way to go guys, you played a great game!!!And the only injury was on the sidelines
Kade and his buddy were playing football and his buddy came up and his head hit Kade's mouth - busted lip, loose tooth, lots of blood - but he's a tough boy and doing just fine.

the parents take turns bringing treats for the boys, and this week is my turn...not sure why I put so much time in to it...they are boys...they will probably take the goodies out and toss the bag without even reading the inspirational cards...oh well, I think they look good and I'm pretty proud of em...

Pride

I'm so proud of my boys...on Monday & Tuesday Kade was home with the stomach bug, and he was such a trooper. I stayed with him on Monday and loved the mommy/Kade time (the 2 1/2 hour nap was really good too), Tuesday he was better, but I didn't want to take any chances, so he stayed with granny (good thing). By Wednesday he was much better and back in school, but when I picked them up, Noah said he wasn't feeling too good. By the time we got home he was sick. That evening he had all the symptoms Kade had, but he was determined...determined that he was not going to miss the next day of school...after not playing a football game for two weeks, there was no way he was going to miss one...he laid in bed that night and say 'mom you know if I miss school tomorrow I'll miss two oral tests in Religion, a quiz in math, a vocabulary test, and the football game - I'm not missing'. I said okay, and told him to pray that he will be better...well he not only made it, but he did very well...he got a 100 on a prayer he had to recite, and he played the entire game, which we won 50-22...
