We're in Rockport

This weekend we have our Junior Division for KJZT in Rockport.
We decided to add to our fun and come a day early.
We got here and got checked in and headed to the pool.
There aren't any pictures from the pool because my camera has been on the blink (more on that later).
After the pool, we got changed and went to a really good seafood place - we had to wait a little so Nicolette was snapping pictures.after eating we went back to the hotel and the kids played dominoes

Okay, the camera story.........
my trusty camera that I've had for probably over five year, and have taken thousands and thousands of pictures with started giving me problems. I snap to take the picture and after a few seconds (which seems like minutes) it finally takes pictures. That's okay for posed pictures like above, but totally misses all action shots. So on the way down here we stopped in Victoria and I bought a new one. It wasn't exactly the one I wanted, but I didn't want to pay the price for the one I did want. We charged the battery on the way here, and when I took the kids to the pool Brian read up on the camera. We in doing so, he found that I probably wouldn't be happy with that one, so after we ate we headed to Super Wal-Mart and returned the one I bought earlier for the higher dollar one I originally thought about getting. I know I could have saved money by ordering it online, but we're here at the beach and I just don't want to miss any action shots.
So, here it is, our new beauty........

Haircuts....sort of....

It's been a while since the boys have gotten a hair cut.
They have always had short, clean cut haircuts, and now are wanting to let it grow out, so we're letting it go....for now.
The one thing I couldn't take anymore was how it was over their ears, so the other day when MoMo got her hair cut she asked Mrs. Nancy if she had time to just trim theirs.
It's still long, but at least it's not over the ears.

Meet Daisy

Yes, it's another new puppy, and NO it is not ours.
Adam got a new puppy recently which we all refer to as his and Brooke's baby.
The silly boys playing with her in her crate

Half Moon Holidays

This weekend was our town's festivities known as the Half Moon Holidays, there's the parade, dances, a car show, BBQ cookoff, craft booths, and much more.

Waiting for the parade
PoPo and fellow VFW members honoring our country carrying the flags.
Our beautiful niece, Katelynn, the new Miss Shiner

Katelynn is also a cheerleader, so when she finished one float she had to hurry and change and make her way to the other one.MoMo & Rina

Brian's Birthday

No big hoopla, no big party, no big celebration, just the big 4-0 quietly welcomed in.
I wanted to have a party or at least a family celebration, but all he wanted was to get some work done at home and to go out to eat. So, that's what he got. He deserves so much more, but it's not what he wanted. He did get several phone calls and birthday cards and wishes.
Happy, Happy Birthday Honey - We love you!!!
the project we did at home was putting an epoxy on the garage floor - it looks good, but I wasn't too keen on having everything (including the vehicles) outside, especially since it's been raining for two day straight (effects from Hurricane Alex), but it all worked out fine.
The Celebration - PoPo took us out to eat at one of our favorite places
