Monday Madness

My Monday Madness is over, and it went very well.
Here's a rundown of my day - (leaving at 5:40 am) I drove an hour and a half to the airport, then took an hour flight to Plano, 30 minute to the office, met co-workers for a 3 hour meeting, took 25 min cab ride back to the airport, and hour flight back, and an hour & a half drive back home (returning at 8:30 pm). I'm Very tired and will be crawling in bed soon. BTW I was on a jet not a little "crop duster" :)

Let Go . . .

Let God!
I'm a little umm. . . anxious about tomorrow. I have to fly to Plano for a meeting tomorrow afternoon then fly right back. Although it's not my first time to fly, it is my first time to fly alone, and first time in a little "crop duster" plane. So if you are reading this and have a couple of minutes, say a little prayer. My outlook on this is to Let Go and Let God, and I know it will be fine.

Reduce Stress . . .

I received this email, and think we should all to try live this way and reduce a little stress in our lives (God know's I need this, today being Monday) :)
REDUCE STRESS ...
An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."

1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.

Boys and reptiles . .

Brian picked up this little lizzard today, and showed it to Kade. Kade actually let him put it on his shoulder, he walked around, and it didn't move. Brian took it off of Kade's shoulder and put it on his hand, and it ran right back up to his shoulder and stayed there. Boys and reptiles. . .

Yesterday we were under severe thunderstorm warnings, with threats of hail and tornadoes - but thanks be to God we only got beneficial rain, and a little thunder & lightning.
There wasn't much to do but stay indoors, but we managed - Brian was gone to a powerlifting meet all day (& evening), so the boys & I played Wii, played on the computer, watched a couple of movies and some cartoons too. For being stuck inside it wasn't too bad.
And today, is absolutely beautiful.

Kade the Photographer

For Christmas, Santa gave Kade a Vtech Kidizoom camera.
He has so much fun with it - he takes pictures of everyone. It has a neat feature to where he can take them with special effects or a background. He also loves playing the games on it - it uses pictures he took, and cuts them into 4, 6 or 8 pieces, and mixes them up, then he has to put it back the right way. One night when I went check to see if he was sleeping, I found him in bed playing games on his camera.

A Beautiful Weekend

We had a couple of Beautiful days this weekend - it was sunny, but not too hot (yet warm enough for shorts).
For Christmas we gave the boys a baseball set each - Noah's is a backstop for him to practice pitching and fielding, and Kade's is a tee & backstop. (So when Brian's at practice and they both want to play/practice, this will make it a little easier on me.) Well, this was the perfect weekend to bring both out, and they had soo much fun.
Today was also filled with fun - this morning Debbie, Louis, Beau, Noah, Kade & Conner all went out in the back of mom & dad's place (we call it the jungle) and they cut a trail just big enough for the 4wheelers to fit. They went round and round, and couldn't get enough - they had a blast!! Then after lunch we went fishing - Kade started out as the one on fire catching all the perch, but Beau & Noah soon caught up. As for Conner, well, he wanted no part of the fish, he did however like throwing rocks & sticks in the water.
It was such a fun weekend that Kade tuckered out at 6:30 this evening.
It was awesome - I love beautiful weekends like this.

another priceless

This weekend while in a store the boys talked Granny in to buying them something (like that was hard to do). Kade picked out this little tiger puppet for a dollar, and it has become his best friend. He has played and played with that thing, he'll get into a conversation with him, or just sit there petting it - it is so cute. He wants to get everyone else to play too - yesterday he had Aunt Diane, Brooke & me all pretending to be "Tigger Tiger" and playing hide & seek or any other game he could come up with.

The Big Game

no, I don't mean the superbowl. . .
Beau and the Cardinals had an all important basketball game this evening. In district the only loss we have is to this team. They beat us 29-20 (this was the 1st game they scored less that 100 points). Well this evening the Cardinals gave them their first loss!!!!!!!!! We beat them 62-49, it was awesome!!
So, now if we win the rest of our district games and they do the same, we'll probably have to have a playoff game with them to see who will be district champs.
By the way, the superbowl didn't end the way I wanted it to, but oh well - there were some funny commercials :)
